This weekend in New Orleans, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the San Francisco 49ers. Beyonce will perform at halftime and we’ll all be talking about the commercials on Monday.

Many view the Super Bowl as a holiday, and often that means a return the heavy and rich foods that are associated with all celebrations.

We are beginning a series of recreational kids' programs, including Kids in the Kitchen, as part of the Y’s nationwide commitment to combat childhood obesity and ensure that all those who participate in YMCA programs live a healthier, balanced life.

Saturday, January 19 from 1:00-2:00 pm, kids ages 4-12 can mix up bowls of fun and blend in delicious excitement with hands-on food preparation class, led by Purdue Extension Family Nutrition Program Assistant and YMCA instructor, Tama Crisovan.

When families spend time together, making food choices together, kids learn healthy habits for a lifetime.
